Letterbox in Orrington Me, Penobscot County

From: Mark & Donna Chellis (mdchellis@acadia.net) | Date: 2001-12-09 22:16:58 UTC-05:00

Town: Orrington, Route 15

Hiders: Mark & Donna

Terrain: Easy

Clues: Moderate

Time Period: 1800s

My husband came through the door, "Darn it all! Bess has taken off again". With a sigh, I told my husband to look on the shelf for the $.50 cent fee to get Bess out of the pound. "You must mend that fence, this is the third time this week Bess has escaped." "I was going to use the milk to make cheese & butter but I guess I will do the wash instead."

Walk through the gate 7 paces to the center of the pound,

"Moo" three times - see if Bess answers,

Turn to the North, walk 7 paces, look under the cow patty (base of enclosure).

There is Bess!

Mark & Donna,

Delightful!

I have posted your clues for the "Cow Patty" letterbox. Please let me know if you would prefer another title.
